Theatre - One Act Stage Play

Description:

“There's scarce that hasn't been said about Dramatics before. Yes, there's a stage (sometimes we pretend it’s everywhere!) There's an evil director/ dictator. There's also a script. And then, of course, there are the actors (Boy, we are modest, aren’t we?) At Dramatyx this year, discover the hundred people that lie inside you, and become all that you wanted to be--on or offstage (or make a complete fool of yourself, if you wish) Innovation will be generously rewarded we promise. Oh, and before we forget, everyone is always welcome”.

Rules and Regulations:

The scripts must be mailed in by the 20th of January 2011 to the following email address: anneshasil@hotmail.com, kdbhasin@gmail.com

Team size--> 15-20 people. Only one team per college

Total stage time cannot exceed 45 minutes. Teams will be penalized on exceeding this.

There is no restriction on the script .It can be an original script, an adaptation etc.

The final teams will be selected by The Riviera Team two weeks before the day One Act Stage Play is scheduled.

Props, music, sound bits etc. will have to be brought by the teams. They will not be provided by us.

Standard stage lights will be provided.

The shortlisted scripts will be put up on the website.

No fire and fluids allowed on stage and no use of abusive language or obscene sequences.

Judging Criteria:

Fluency, script, acting, stage-usage, lights and sound.
Decision of the judges are final and binding.
